01

Start with the care setting

A warm profile is not enough to establish whether the environment fits your pet.

  • Confirm where care happens and who else will be present.
  • Review resident pets, children, cameras, yard, sleeping, crate, separation, and unattended-time facts.
  • Match the environment to behavior, size, medication, routine, and stress needs.
02

Verify the dates and full price

A visible profile should not be confused with actual availability.

  • Require requested-date availability and current capacity.
  • Review base rate, required add-ons, Pet Parent fee, applicable tax, and cancellation terms together.
  • Treat a request as pending until the provider accepts and payment status is confirmed.
03

Read trust signals literally

Trust facts have scope, dates, and limits; they are not guarantees.

  • Confirm the individual caregiver’s current screening status.
  • Read insurance review scope, date, expiration, and limitations.
  • Use verified-booking reviews as one input alongside fit, policies, and direct questions.
